Apple has let loose its third update in the iOS 7 line up – iOS 7.0.3 – and with it has answered the prayers of thousands of users who were suffering from iMessage issues.
The iOS 7.0.3 brings with it a total of 7 bug fixes and 7 enhancements that will make your life a little easier as compared to what it was while using iOS 7.0.2. Apple has incorporated fixes for the longstanding iMessage issues including inability to send messages through the app and instances where the iMessage app itself wasn’t getting activated.
Apple has also added animation to the Reduce Motion setting of iOS 7. The parallax and 3D animations were making users nauseous and even gave them frequent headaches. Some users even complained that they suffered from Vertigo after using their iDevice running iOS 7. Apple notes in the release announcement that iOS 7.0.3 “Enhances the Reduce Motion setting to minimize both motion and animation.”
Some of the other issues addressed by iOS 7.0.3 include sensor (accelerometer) calibration issues that rendered quite a few games unplayable; issues that caused VoiceOver to be too sensitive; issue, which while updating the software, rendered supervised devices un-supervised; and an issue which would allow users with malicious intentions to bypass the lock screen of any iDevice.
Some of the enhancements in the iOS 7.0.3 are that will allow users to keep track of account names, passwords and credit-card information across all approved devices; Password Generator in Safari using which users can get suggestions for unique hard-to-guess passwords; improved system stability when using iWork; ability to carry out search on the web and Wikipedia right from Spotlight search, and updates to the Bold text setting.
