In a similar vain to the Range Rover Evogue, the Macan will effectively sit as a smaller sibling of the Cayenne. It shares design traits with the Evogue too, including a lower profile and sleeker stance. Dimensionally, it will be smaller than the Cayenne, although most likely not by significant margins.
The Macan will utilise technology from Volkswagen, which has been designed to deliver better stability for larger SUV vehicles. This is the same technology that Audi will utilise for their next generation Q5.
Porsche are staying true to their sporting routes by including a V6 / 370BHP engine, with the aim of out competing rival cars, including the Evogue, in the power stakes. The company believe there is a niche for sportier mini-SUVs, and are targeting this opportunity with the Macan.
